      You are going bonkers. Look for a support group in your area. Why don't you give a few more pics at diff. angles & we might figure it out.

      Far from bonkers! yes... 1 piece is the heel of a shoe! the fabric is the lace up front of the shoe! The funky metal thing with screws is a brass Slazenger golf club boot!
      So the local support group is out! Sorry Blunder, instead of polishing your antiques you might want to polish your presentation.
