Belgium lamp stand

This lamp belongs to my mother-in-law. Someone had given it to her and we are wondering what style and how old this might be. I think the shade is made of silk. It's about 5 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide. The glass table has gold (?) leaf underneath. And it is very heavy.
