Thanks! You are so right BELLIN68 ! That is precisely why I purchased this piece. I love Clarice Cliff 's designs!

Some of my fondest memories of Italy are of the Amalfi coast. On the Costa d'Amalfi south of Napoli is the town of Vietri sul Mare. Vietri is famous for its production of tin-glazed pottery. I have a charger on CW that is a scene of the town of Vietri painted by Landi 'o7. I think it is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Have a look at this site for chat about Vietri as a centre of ceramic production:

Thank You vetraio50 for your wonderful information, although I've never visited Italy ,researching this piece led me to quite a few beautiful scenes of Vietri and you are so right! The town is Most Beautiful!

Most candlesticks from Vietri period are in high demand (serious collectors) or museum quality. You may want to consider getting an appraisal or inquire about it at Pottery Marks, Walter can give you more information as to it's value more/less.
