This is the Lustre Art vase I mentioned in my earlier post, and promised to show because these vases are very rare. Lustre Art (Long Island, NY) made primarily glass lamp shades (like my other post) and apparently very few vases. This one is not in perfect shape, as you can see, and the inside has scaling/residue, but when am I going to find another? I am always looking and not finding, so this is my Lustre Art vase for now. I love the shape, and the iridescence is quite good, so there's no hurry to replace it. What I really want to know is; how rare are these? Are we talking hundreds of examples, or less maybe? In any case it's another fellow Long Islander; and very few of us are perfect. Enjoy!
dasullywon, FYI: check out the Wedding Gift posting in American Art Glass about 11 months ago by Lynne, she has a fabulous Lustre Art Glass Co. decorated vase, although they are scarcer than Quezal they are not hens teeth...
Thanks JJZ, I will check that out. I'm trying to find all I can on Lustre Art, and if I need to know anything about Quezal naturally I can always ask you. Thanks again!
dasullywon : I have the exact same Lustre Art vase. I posted it earlier on CW.
LoetzBuddies, FWF, when you find the time, please post your example again showing the signature for a comparison. Thanks
