These two oil paintings are garage sale finds. The scene with the woman in it (yellow skirt) is near Le Madeleine in Paris. There is some crackling in the paint and a palette knife appears to have been used to do some of the work. I'm not sure of the dates or anything else and cannot find a signature on them. They are painted on canvas that has been glued to a backing. If anyone can give me any leads on how I could find out who painted them and when it would be greatly appreciated. For some reason I think they may be valuable. The woman that sold them to me said that she had a serving tray with one of these paintings printed on it. I didn't know how to classify this so put it in general categories. Hopefully someone knows something about paintings or could point me in the right direction? THANKS.

Hi Mustangtony- I did remove the one on the right from the frame but there wasn't a hidden signature. The canvas is glued down onto a pressed board and I'm afraid of damaging it by removing it myself. Some of the corners are coming up but I didn't see a signature on those areas of the canvas. I probably need to take it somewhere and have it professionally done. Thanks.
