I got this doll from my mother and she got it from her grandmother who more a less died in 1988 at age more a less 80-85. The doll have no markings except for a "o" at the back of the head. Her eyes can open up. I have read that the dolls body is made of glue and sawdust and was look like covered with kind of plastic. the head is only from some kind of plastic. I am looking now for a few days on the internet to see if I can find a doll similar to mine but without any succes. Could some one give me info on when more a less my doll came from and a date.

Your doll is a Composition walker doll. Her face and body are composition . Dates from most likely 1930's to 40's . How tall is she ? I am wondering if the 0 you see is a size reference or there is more there just faint . As they reused these molds the residue in them built up each time it was filled and the end of mold cycle the name that was impressed on back of neck gets very faint hardly raised at all . Then a new mold would be used and old one tossed out . I would think she would have some initials or something also on back of neck . Try to rub a lead pencil across it lightly and see if any letters appear and them wipe of lead .

I have measured the doll she is 26 inch. I have looked at the back of her neck again, there is no way that there is a name at the back except for the "o" as I have mentioned previously. I also would like to put some clothes on her if some body could perhaps send me pictures or even tell me more a less what she would have wear.
