I know this mug is from the Chinese Export period of 1850. The mug is double wall construction with flower and branches. It has no makers stamps on it. Any more information about this piece would be appreciated.
It's a real beauty!
Just a comment, the shape of the handle could be an indicator of the maker. There are many mugs with dragon handles but each maker seems to have a silghtly different take on the idea. The pitch of the tail, its angle and size. I'm looking forward to seeing what others say on this topic. I have a couple of pieces that intrigue me as well.
Very nice big size item with high grade silver it is according to colour, and it should be made in Canton China in early 19th C.
That is AWESOME! One of my favorite things I have seen.
Its the best chinese piece of silver ive ever seen !!
Love it ;-)
