      Late 19th century Mantel Clock with Faux Finish. Common for the Period. Works were made by numerious makers, unless it is marked by the maker on the clock works, hard to say.

      I have the exact same clock it's a Seth Thomas
      on the bottom of the case it has 1896. I've checked in numerous books to find out what this particular model is called could not find it anywhere.
      it has a stamped 3 5/8 movement made by Seth Thomas.
      To find out the year of manufacture check the bottom of the case it's usually marked in paint read the date backwards eg 6981 = 1896.
