Just got this given to me today.. It was very dusty, I plugged it in, and it works great! I found just one like it, its a Dominion Electrohome Broadcasting/shortwave Radio Model 162 Console (1947). All original parts too! Very nice old console Radio. I always wanted one like this.
No clue what it is worth, but looks pretty good. Only thing I will do to it, is put some oil on it, I like to keep the original looks.. anyone else have one like this? Like I said, only found one exactly like mine, someone was showing how they restored it. no other info on it.

      Hi there,
I have the exact same one. The record player always worked, and so did the radio, but not the short wave. Eventually, the wires were cut so now nothing works. My husband is planning on restoring it to be operational again. Thoughts or advice?

I also have one that I have just found last week. I would love to find a second one to use as a matching night table for my bedroom. If anyone is interested here is a link to the schematics for the radio part of it

I am currently working on restoring the radio and then when the weather warms up I will refinish the cabinet

I restored the same model last winter. It wasn't working for 45 years but after replacing all the old paper capacitors and cleaning the turntable and some new cords we have it playing like it did in 1947. Also needs a modern ruby needle allowing multiple plays for years to come. BTW our cabinet is a lighter coloured wood which did not require refinishing.
