This tenor banjo is in good condition. It was found in a closet of an old house in Tennessee. The name is in a foreign alphabet. I have never seen anything like it.

I Love This !! I have never saw Cupid on a Banjo Before !! I am also Ancious to discover the History on this Great Find !!
The cupids style of clothing may help identify the language on the label.
99% certain that the Banjo is from the country known as Burma, and the writing is in Burmese

Hi!! I just bought a tenor size banjo as a Christmas present for my husband that looks almost exactly like the one in your photo from an antique store. The pegs are different and actually face the back, and he took the sound board off looking for markings but we couldn't find anything. HOWEVER, I did a lot of digging around Google and found this museum website!!

They are custom made by renowned Yangon luthier U Ba Chit and his son in their workshop. That is a cherub on the front.
