I've just recently decided to start collecting antiques as I realized that to get a certain amount of quality you have to go back into the past. So I decided to start looking up antiques, and I found these.
These boxes came from a lady who had them in her family, and she was wishing to sell them. She told me that they're from around the 1920's-1930's, and were used by her grandfather who put knobs and labels on them to be used as drawers for his piano tuning business (which I can believe as piano padding was found in a matchbox I purchased and they had several antique bottles of furniture polish, etc.)

Of the six boxes, five of them are Steber Cigar boxes, with one from Old Virgina Cheroots. The Steber Cigar boxes have all been retrofitted (with knobs and labels) but still have the beautiful image inside and on the side. They all have factory stamps on them telling that they should be sold for no more than 8 cents and no less than 5, and have stamps stating that they comply with the law. On the top "Spanish hand made" is advertised on the side of the wood. Four of them say "registered 1906" by F.A Steber & Company makers and one says "T.N.C. CO 1916" and has R.W. Steber on the inside cover.

The Old Virgina Cheroots Light box has had one side retrofitted with a knob and an old label stating "white glue". The box itself is in very good condition with a sticker saying "Now 4 for 10 cents" on the inside cover.
When purchasing this box, it still had piano fixing tools in it, but is in good shape and has a manufacturing note on the bottom from the state of Virgina.

If possible, please tell me more about the companies that these came from. I haven't been able to find much online about them. Also, I have one more question. I haven't been able to find any of these online for sale and I'm a little clueless. How common are they, and what are these worth?
