As much as I would love to put these candlesticks on my stall at the Panama Fairs market at The Riddell Hall in Walton-on-the-Hill they have been in our family forever and I would never put them up for sale. I once identified the two small sunburst markings on the base but have long forgotten where they were made. I must make time to look them up again. They stood on an ancient oak table in our family home for as long as I can remember. The plating is worn with cleaning and the brass is coming through but this adds to their charm. We use them all the time now and whether they have white dinner party candles or red Christmas ones, I will always remember Grandad lighting his Woodbines from them many moons ago.
