I recently acquired this Contour Lounge Chair. I loved how it felt when I sat in it, like it was made just for me. It does have a mild musty mildew smell. I removed the fabric from the very bottom which harbored the most odor. However, I did save it because it had the original label still attached. I am located in mid Missouri and could use some advice on eliminating the remaining odor if that is even possible. It is upholstered in gold Naugahyde, I am not sure if that can be distinguished from the picture.

Gorgeous and fabulous! Great find! There are some persons on CW who do know about mildew and such. I'm not one of them, so I'll leave it to them. As for appraisals, the appraiser linked below looks like a good 'hypothesis'. I don't know anything about her/him, but she/he looks qualified. Why don't you check this person out? Best wishes for success. It's a wonderful chair!

Mustangtony, I have a La-Z-Boy recliner couch and I took a couple of naps this weekend while watching football in the new chair and the best that I can do is offer up my half of the La-Z-Boy recliner couch! This chair is so comfortable. It is my favorite Auction find so far!

Love this! I just picked up an orange double one of these of these chairs. Was kind of hard giving up my couch as my main sitting place but these chairs are just too cool not to have as a focal point. So happy to see more. If you look up their commercials on youtube from back in the day they are pretty funny!

This is so cool. In 1967 I lived in St. Louis. We went to the Illinois State Fair and they were demonstrating these. My then husband ordered one, but never got it delivered. I forgot how much it was, but it was a lot more than we had to spend. It seems like it was around $500. Yours looks like it is in great shape!
