This is my Ink-U-Bator baby - left to me by my mother, who was a doll collector. As far as I can tell it includes everything that came with the original purchase. The doll is all composition with painted features and molded hair. The thermometer says it was made by R&B but I haven't been able to find another one like it anywhere! Has anyone ever seen this doll, or have any idea of its rarity or value?

Thank you - I'll check the back and report back. I just wonder how many are out there, as my mother said she could never find any information (other than assuming they were trying to jump on the Dionne quintuplets bandwagon).

Your doll was made by Effanbee 1936 Ink U Bator baby, 6 1/2" tall, all composition jointed body, molded painted hair, came with it's "incubator" and layette, doll is marked with it's name on back. It is rare to find Ink U Bator . She is quite special ! It is possible the part marked R&B was one they bought from R&B ?

It seems to be some confusion on maker it was a R&B and possibly also made by Effanbee by books . Different sizes . Here is link to one that was posted but no photo just description .

She is very hard to find in this beautiful condition and her price would be fairly high because of the complete set . You were left some very wonderful dolls ! and not common one's . She is a R&B doll (Arranbee) used that name more in later dolls R&B is found on older one;s in general .

Thank you! The box and everything in it is original, so it was made by Arranbee. I think I might want to auction this doll just because it is so cool and rare and I don't have the means to preserve it. It belongs in a humidity controlled case or somewhere before the plastic disintegrates. The doll is in mint condition, no crazing or cracks. The box is dirty but mostly intact. Thank you for all of the feedback and information!

I agree it needs to be preserved in temp controlled ,dust free area . It is not replaceable . It is very special . Love love it
