This is the 2nd of the five vases bought in one lot at auction! I have seen similar on e-bay but with one or two different glass makers attributed to it. So any help here would be most appreciated. Thanks to CW crew in advance for any ideas forthcoming!!

Thanks inky!! - Where does the 'inky' come from? Here it is someone who would be known as a 'swot'! Always with a head in a book or learning and writing about something new, hands covered in ink!

The base-legs look very Czech, as does the applied glass. The colors look more English though, but I'd tend to agree with czechman - probably vintage czech.

Hi Justanovice!....just found this very much like yours but! the feet are different so don't know!!.... if you go to Welz ( down on the left) and click on.. 'Visual Decor Index' and then go to the 5th row down 4th one in and click on that one.

Would very much like to say that "Inky" sounds very much like me! although I do love researching and learning about something new, my glass is top on the list, but I pinched the name from a relative who was very much the way you described and was quite important in his time. Thank you for being interested...:-)

Hey Justanovice, Is it possible to add a close picture of the rim showing the casing layers?

Will do charcoal, but evening here at the moment will wait until tomorrow to take pic in better light!

Thank you for adding the rim picture. I'm sure you know my thoughts on the manufacturer already. :) I have a similar ball vase that I will try to get posted soon.

Hey Justanovice, Sorry I haven't had time to post any ball vases yet. I did however find your blue and white variegated decor on the Hosh catalog attached below. Please see the third row down, second shape from the right, figure 7347. It's right next to figure 7348 which has the yellow and white variegated decor shown in some of my recent cw postings.

Here is another Ruckl shape in their blue and white variegated decor. See #2002 at the top of this page. Also note that three color variations of your Ruckl blue satin fairy lamp are also represented on this link :)

Thank you charcoal, very interesting! I did not know that my lamp was called 'Blue Satin' - what a lovely description! : )
