    The is marked "U.S". It weighs 13oz (370 grams). It measures approximately 21 1/16" (53.5 cm) in total length with the blade being 18" (45.7 cm) long. The opening on the socket end is 3/4 of an inch (1.9 cm) . The length of the socket is 3" (7.6 cm) . It has a triangular shaped blade.

      Collectible, I don't presently have a 45-70 Springfield to measure the OD of the muzzle, but that's what I'm guessing. Issued from 1873- about 1888. Probably get flak from experts & purist, but that's from my memory.

      No flak from me, Blunder. The measurements fit the US Model 1873 bayonet, for the 45-70 Springfield.
