These are foam scrapers, which were used to scape excess foam from glasses of beer. Here we see two foam scrapers of famous NJ breweries, Ballantine of Newark, and Rheingold of nearby Orange. The Rheingold scraper is from the beer's residence in New York. Around 1950, they took over the Trommer Brewery in Orange NJ>
In those days, the foam had more body than many of today's beers..you could float a dime on the heads of those beers!
