1939Monarch Majestic Tube Radio Ship. After researching this ship,I found out that there is one just like it in a museum in Mass. It was restored @ beautiful.I was told not to restore mine, that it would take away the value of it! I really don't know whether to restore it or not.

Looks very much like a Sessions Yankee Clipper clock. Possibly a lot of the same fittings. Check them out on ebay.

Hi Peg, nice radio. That is the "Melody Cruiser" from 1939, a fairly rare radio, seen now and again on ebay etc and a great collectable. Most collectors will advise not to restore unless it is totally necessary ie totally in pieces. I like many personally would rather see a radio with its history showing, warts and all, I mean show its age rather than having a modern facelift that usually strips away its history. This radio made it through WW2 etc. Its a personal thing. Value is affected and also the quality of the restoration has to be excellent. Remember you can always restore something but you cannot unrestore it. Your decision ...good luck :)
