Having a hard time researching this beautiful Native American coin silver bracelet, believe it to be from late 1800s. The design is unique with the pegs and rosettes around the center stone which looks to be very aged turquoise. Signed Silver Products coin silver. Would like more info on this piece.
Its from the 1930's-40's, deffinitely a Fred Harvey tourist piece. Silver Products was a trading post
The stone is actually a type of palstic that was used to simulate turquoise. See that little bubble/hole? Thats a dead giveaway, mother nature doesn't put bubbles in her stones. Also, the more I look at it, it appears to be 40's-50's instead of 30's-40's.
Silver Products was a company back east that made items for the Fred Harvey tourist shops. They are not Native American. That's not a bubble in the stone; it's where a piece of the matrix fell out, not uncommon with these types of stones. Coin silver = 20's up until about 1932.
I don't agree it is plastic. Put it to your face and if cold and stays cold for a minute it is not plastic. I believe it to be a real stone, possibly green turquoise. Take it to a competent jeweler (not a chain) and have them look at it. Best, K.
Well that was three years ago, I was still learning. Kerry is right, it's def a stone, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be a very good one from the picture. I'd say take a better photo in better light but I'm sure this guys long. Just wanted a free appraisal
