This old wooden folding chair is from the 1930's to 1940's. This type of chair was used in church basements, town halls, & other misc. events back then. The idea then was to use something that was somewhat inexpensive, light, & space saving while providing seating for the greatest number of people as possible. Comfort obviously was not a concern. The seating area measures approximately 14 1/2" x 16" (36.8 cm x 40.6 cm) . When the chair is open it is 32" (81.3 cm) tall & the seat sits about 17" (43.2 cm) high from the ground. The back rest of the chair is about 14 1/2" (36.8 cm) wide & 19" (48.3 cm) tall. When folded the chair is about 36 1/2" (92.7 cm) tall.
Thanks for sharing this, I have the double one and was wondering the time frame.
You're welcome :) Have a great day :)
