This is a Very Unique and Lovely little old piece! First off as you might notice it features two different types of glass, an Incredible Cheerful Pink Crest near the rim, and a Bright Bold Topaz Vaseline in the Center and also along the Pie Crust Edge, the pattern on this little jewel is possibly flower petals or scales. Also another attractive attribute to this piece is the Curled Grip which really brings all the fascinating aspects together! I believe this piece is from between the Late 1890s - very early 1900s, it does feature a Rough unpolished Pontil, and This Victorian plate measures about 6 Inches Wide and a little less than 2 inches tall, If anyone has an idea of the Maker, Date, Age or comments and suggestions Please Feel Free! I am always interested in learning more about glass!
    Best Regards

I have a small collection of this type of glass. As far as I know it has been attributed to Stevens and Williams. However I think a competitor may have also made it. Some of my pieces have a vaseline edge and some have the pink color all the way to the edge. A good friend of mine told me that he could identify a particular bowl of mine as being Loetz.
    20. Greatsnowyowl Greatsnowyowl, 12 years ago
with the way this piece is finished it is neither S adn w or Loetz.
    21. Greatsnowyowl Greatsnowyowl, 12 years ago
Both of those companies would have finished a piece with a cut and polished pontil instead of leaving it broken like this one is.

Well Vaselinealley and Greatsnowowl, I understand that it is always Great to know the History of a piece and I personally prefer to know the maker, age and rarity of the pieces in my collection but once in a while a little mystery is always fun! Thanks for the debate though guys, and the feedback I appreciate it very much!
P.S. Love your collection of similar pieces Vaselinealley!
