Hello everyone,
I was curious if anyone had seen this particular trivet before, I have not found one as of late like it. I collect old things but my forte is not with trivets :) The ones I do find have the "heart" and / or "handle" this one has neither. I thought at first that it might be broken (the handle) but there is a perfect hole just inside the grain. The measurements are 6" L. x 5-1/4" widest point at bottom. It has WILTON in a "block" and the number 10 is along the side, you can see it in the picture of the back of the trivet. Thanks for any light you can shed on this wonderful old piece in time.
( NOTE: THE PICTURE THAT IS OF THE PAINTED TRIVET IS A COMPARISON FROM EBAY, IT HAS HANDLES AND A HEART, MINE DOESN'T HAVE EITHER FEATURE )
Yes I've seen it before. It's actually quite common. You'll see some are painted, some are not - and I do believe there is a company making repos. There's currently 6 for sale on eBay:

Hi jackieblue, As I had noted above, ALL the trivets you have in the links above have a "heart" at the bottom of the grain and middle of the "handle". They all also have a "handle" and mine does not. Nor any have noted in the pictures or descriptions that there is a number stamped on them along with the name Wilton, I have entered a better pic of the "No. 10" that is impressed on the back. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my inquiry.
This Ebay listing indicates a 10 stamped on the back. I have a feeling, indeed, that your handle broke off. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-WILTON-Cast-Iron-Kitchen-Trivet-w-Broom-Heart-Design-/221089505594
junkcollector, I do believe you have found it, it is identical except for the handle, the hole is in the correct place also. I will take a closer look or maybe they made it without ? Probably not though :) Thanks for helping clear this one up ! Happy hunting :)
