Good Morning Fellow Collectors,
I found these plastic Mr. Peanut salt and pepper shakers at a flea market this past weekend, and had to add them to my collection. I am really not sure how old they are, but I still thought they were neat enough to buy. They are plastic and measure three inches high. The hats come off to add salt and pepper. They have "Made in the U.S.A." on the base, and it has "Mr Peanut" on the side of the hat. They don't seem to be hard to find, and I have found several different styles of these shakers in various colors and materials on the internet. I think they were probably a give away promotional item. I liked them, and that is usually what makes something collectible to a person! Hope everyone has a great day! Thrifty
Thanks Sean for the love and comments! Hope you are having a greatday! Thrifty

I hope they weren't salty!!!!!!!!!!!lol:{)
Thank you Manikin for the love! I think "dapper" described him perfectly. He always looked kind of laid back, waiting on his martini to arrive!!lol. It's always good to hear from you, hope you are doing well. We have started getting some cool weather, which tells me summer is almost over. Talk to you later, Thrifty
Really charming!
Thanks Signaholic for the love! I think Mr. Peanut is definitely a "mascot" that has been on the job for a lot of years, and is still working! These are the only Mr. Peanut items that I have, but those banks you have sound like they are cool to. You will have to post a couple on here, when you get a chance. Thanks for stopping by, Thrifty

Hi valentino97, I actually purchased these at a flea market a couple of weeks ago. I had guessed that they were an item that you had to collect planters peanut proof of purchases to get. I don't remember seeing this promotion when I was growing up in the 60's. Do you remember what year they had these? Do you still have the bank? Thanks for stopping by and looking, Thrifty
That's not a bad idea Kevin. I noticed several sets on ebay in various colors. They do not appear to be very expensive items. You could probably buy three sets of the same color and paint them, lol! Thanks for the love, Talk to you later, Thrifty
