There in not a serial number on the movements. The pics show all of the identification marks/numbers I could see. It was my grandmother's but I do not know when she bought it. She was born in England, around 1903ish, and immigrated to the states when she was around 30.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If possible, could someone give me an idea on the value.
    Thank you,
    Pat

Carmen,VERY Nice, solid 18 K gold watch case. The movement, I don't reconise, but maybe thisoldwatch or pw-collector or toolate2 or AR8Jason will know the mfg. I do know that the case is 18K yellow gold, I can make out the Hallmark below the gold stamp, but leaning towards a British Hallmark.

Sorry Pat, there is another purpledog on this forum, I'm sorry didn't read the name at the end.

I believe it is British especially since they typically used 18K
I can try to get a better pic of the hallmark

Yeah, when I tried it for the user name I could hardly believe someone else had it

I believe it is Swiss because it is pin or nail set. I would like to see a clear picture of the smaller hallmark. The movement is definately Swiss. Very nice dial also.

As to its value. Because it is un-signed and not a hi-grade movement so-to-speak, you are looking at the value of the gold content only. Personally, I would never scrap it.

I'd never scrap it! I will be passed down as a remembrance.

OK, I changed the last two pics, although, I do not know if it will help.

I can see now that it has a cylinder escapement. I'll try and look up the hallmark for you.
