I found these buttons when my Mother passed away thirty years ago. I don't recall her ever talking about the buttons.I wonder if they are military from days of old? Perhaps even English?

Brass buttons like these were popular during the Victorian era. They embellished and decorated womens clothing, or served as fasteners for men's vests. These might be a family heirloom.
