approx 1955.
About 10 minutes slow after a half day and a quick adjustment got it running close enough for me to be happy. There wasn't a quick set, and the date was originally around 12 days off, so i hesitated on twisting the watch that much to catch up to the right date and trying to guess what day of the week it would be. Upon closer inspection, on the side of the case are two holes, which actually quick adjust the date (around the perimeter) and the month (one of the windows). Now its running and keeping time with the right date! (the pic is before the adjustment!)
seems to fit snug too!
case is a little beat up, but crystal is ok and dial is almost spotless!
so this needed work. the second hand seemed to keep time, but random times and during the date change the minute hand would loose time, but upon inspection the second hand was still keeping proper time. I figured it cant be something huge because the watch was still keeping "proper second time". I in detail explained the problem to a watch guy and he assumed it was a cannon pinion that needed to be tightened, which is included in the C.O.A. as soon as i get this back, i will get some better pictures! i cleaned it up after the first pictures, but the case is still a little beat up
back and working perfectly! The guy ended up selling me a new main spring and a new (plastic) crystal. He painted the hands too. So now it is keeping perfect time, serviced with a new main spring, and a new crystal! Too bad the case still looks beat up...
