I got this anniversary 400 day clock quite recently at an antique shop. It was made in the 50's to 70's at the latest, and since then has been in perfect condition. There is a small drawer at the front containing the original instructions, which are undated. As for the maker of this piece, I can only say that it my be swiss or german, and it says ??? 8 day on the dial. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I saw one of these recently at a fair at Ingliston, Edinburgh. I couldn't get the music to sound and it had one or 2 cosmetic issues, so I didn't buy it.

I know it has a musical box and I like the fact it's a 'faux' torsion pendulum, in that it doesn't need to be levelled and is not fussy at all where it runs.
