Hope this is correct. Not sure about image size.

A few years back found a couple pieces by this pottery and another pottery Elbee both from Italy. Have been adding a few pieces to the eclectic stuff we enjoy. Very glad we found the site.

I tried to upload the mark pic earlier, but it didn't work. Hope it does this time.

Marmaca was set up byFilippo Martelli, Luigi Masi and Wilfred Carlin in 1946 in the Republic of San Marino. At first they did decorator items, and pieces for advertising liqueurs. They began small, but by 1949 with some new members Luigi Agosteo, Antonio Meoni and Dino Diomedi they'd grown into a much larger factory with up to 150 employees. By then they were the "S. A. Marmaca Porcellane" with premises in Borgo Maggiore and also in Dogana. They remained open until 1964.

I'd be interested to see the mark at the bottom?

Thank you Bellin68 and vetraio50. It is one of our faves.
vetraio50, I had some info, but am glad that you have so much more. Will make note of it, thank you very much for sharing. I have uploaded a pic of the mark. Hope it is clear enough to read.

      thanks,

Ciao Eddie. I love that mark with the capital M. I've had another look around and according to a French site the artists did not sign their work. I really like the decor on your "anfora". New 'science'!

There's an article here in Italian about an exhibition of San Marino ceramics held in 2009.
Maestri della Ceramica Sammarinese la mostra a Palazzo Arzilli
      http://www.sorpresa.sm/it/dettaglio.php?catid=135&id=1203
It seems there was a catalogue by Emanuele Gaudenzi. text in English too.

vetraio50, thanks so much for all the info. Will take a look at those sites. I know there's a new book on Italian pottery of this period. I believe it is by Mark Hill and another man (can't recall his name) which has been recently released. Need to get a copy.
Not sure of time difference, so will wish you a nice day or evening. Once again thank you.

Hi Eddie. Alla Moda is the new book. I have not seen it here yet. Dr Graham Cooley is the other bloke. For a look at the exhibition in Norfolk: http://markhillpublishing.co.uk/?page_id=6150
Mark Hill has certainly been making a splash in the glass and ceramics areas! He's an interesting character I've seen on the UK Roadshow - great dress sense too!

      Hi vetraio50,
You got it right it is indeed Graham Cooley and Mark Hill from the UK Roadshow. I'm going to go ahead and order a copy, it should come in handy.
Viewed a few of your beautiful pieces. I hope to take another peek at your glass collection.
      Eddie
