Tim McCoy was one of the first real-life super heroes, having been a cowboy - a decorated soldier in both WWI and WWII - and a movie star. In the mid-1930s he was asked to join the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus as a headliner. Several great lithographs featuring Tim McCoy were produced during the time that he was with Ringling-Barnum. After leaving "The Greatest Show on Earth" at the end of the 1937 season, McCoy framed his own Wild West Show. That show folded after just a few weeks in 1938. McCoy travelled with several other small circuses into the early 1960s. He died in 1978.

GREAT panel size poster! Are these original?

Zack - yes all of these are original. The "panel" poster is actually a "One=Sheet Panel" (picture two half-sheets on top of each other - approximately 56"x22"). The Erie Ptg and Litho Co executed several designs in this size for Ringling-Barnum in the mid-30s. When Tim McCoy took out his own show in 1938 the Tooker Moore Litho Co of New York designed a number of great posters for him - including several that were "one-sheet panels".
