I couldn't resist buying this clear glass McDonald's coffee mug. It celebrates the 1984 Olympics with this limited edition promotional mug. It was a bargain at .25 cents, I remember running to my car for the quarter, rather than break a twenty last year : )
I bought 3 of these for $1 at a garage sale about a month ago. It was a great deal, just not quite as good as yours for a quarter LOL
Thanks for the love Bellin68
Thanks aycockonxion, that was a great buy, I love garage and yard sales.
OMG I worked at the 84 Olympics at Santa Anita as a stable aid! What a blast!! For 2 weeks....I saw the most amazing things!! XOXOXO Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks Lee, you must have been really young then. I installed the fire sprinkler system in the Centennial Olympic stadium in Atlanta, GA in 1994-96, and the day after the Olympics we started demo-ing and re-fitting for the Braves new ballpark. I did yank a few awesome metal plaques commemorating the 100 years of Olympics from the 100 columns that surround the venue, but lost in divorce years ago. I only saw USA vs Italy baseball, and we demolished them.
MattyG, you must have had fun in your work! I was under age when I helped out at the Olympics. They found out after they hired me! I got lucky! WOW divorce is something else! I know all about that! But we have our memories and all our lives in the future to look forward to! :))
