I picked up this set and another set (please see second post/pictures) from a woman who was downsizing. She said her mom use to collect and bought these back in the 50s, but she didn't have any other information. They are in excellent condition! They are not marked anywhere. This one does have some gold wear inside the cup. If anyone has any information on them, please reply. I would greatly appreciate it.

Both sets are truly beautiful, and quite rare. My best guess is that they are French soft paste porcelain chocolate cups and saucer sets. My amateur opinion is that this one dates from the late 1700 or a little later, and I think the other set dates a bit later.
The "painting" is fired enamel glaze, and the gold is a Gilt enamel, both of very high quality. The painting of the people is especial animated and very unusual.
You should have them appraised by an expert, i.e. an Auction company like Christies or Sotheby's.

I have been really thinking about the cups the past couple of days. And I would like to add.
There is a possibility that the are from Germany or Austria. Both countries had important ceramic production manufacturers. The reason I am saying this is that the costumes on the figures do not look particularly "French", if anything they look English, possibly Western European.
And more importantly, the central male figure is probably a "Magician".... This is an important feature...images of Magicians or Street performers are very rare, and desirable.
I have made mistakes before, but I think you have some great items. And I wish you all the best.
