This is the other half of the 2 for $10 deal I got when buying this and Winterland poster from Craigslist ad in Philadelphia. I love the Grateful Dead music and their artistic posters, I bought them under the impression they were reprints, just to enjoy myself. This one is thin paper and marked "RP 006", 1977 Kelley/Mouse, the show was in '66, is this one legit?
thanks and good morning Bellin68, are you going hunting again today? if so, good luck!
LOVE this poster as well MattyG, looks like it has been printed over 7 times so there are many variations. (The original was small handbill printed on very thin paper) Too many differences to name here so take a look at the link below and you will be able to tell. Still a GREAT poster and certainly one of the most iconic images associated with The Grateful Dead, GREAT find!

Thanks again zguy2112, I did a little searching and found this online: "FD-26-RP-13 A Portal Publications reprint exists on thin stock. It bears the credit “RP 006 c 1977 Mouse/Kelley Portal Publications Ltd. Corte Madera. California 94925 Litho in U.S.A.” on the right side of the bottom margin. 20 3/64” x 27 63/64”" on Eric King's Poster Book corrections, but that's it, no other info on this print. I heading to eBay now to price frames.
Thanks for the love mustangtony and crabbykins.
Matt that is very cool, what run is it a 1, 2, or 3
looks like number 5 : The post-concert 2nd printing is on vellum and has "26(2)" in the lower left corner. While the Bindweed credit still appears, "(c) Family Dog Productions 1966 1725 Washington Street San Francisco (415) 673-3050" is added to the lower left corner. It measures 14 3/16" x 20".
The 3rd printing is on uncoated index and changes the Family Dog credit to "(c) Family Dog Productions 1966 639 Gough St., San Francisco, Calif. 94102." The number "26(3)" appears in the lower left corner, and the Bindweed credit remains. It was printed after the concert and measures 14" x 20".
In 1977, a 4th printing was printed at twice its original size to measure 19 1/2" x 28". Along the bottom "(c) Kelley/Mouse Portal Publications Ltd. Corte Madera, California 94925 Litho in U.S.A." appears.
The post-concert 5th printing adds a "RP 006" before the "(c) Kelley/Mouse Portal Publications Ltd. Corte Madera, California 94925 Litho in U.S.A" on the right side of the bottom margin. It measures 20" x 28".
The 6th printing is from a 1992 Family Dog portfolio. It measures 12 7/8" x 14 7/8" and does not display publishing or copyright information.
Hello there! I bought a 5th print from a guy off Craigslist about 20 years ago. I am finally sending it to a friend to get it linen backed and fully restored. My print has water damaged from the previous owner, but my friend said that should be repairable. Otherwise the print is in very good condition. I've kept it stored in a flat file since becoming it's new owner.
I don't know its value, but would be interested to know if anyone has an idea.
Thanks,
Rigo
