    very interesting and i dont really know to much more than my grandfather used this when he was younger in the 20'2 and 30's. id like to get an idea of what i have here .

      It's a prosthetic arm. I assume it's one of the versions that wraps around the body and flexing torso muscles to open/shut the pincher-hand.       An arm, what a bummer! If it were a leg support, we could invent papers verifying it it was used in the movie Forrest Gump. Shows how much I know about anatomy!
