This is probably the most recognizable shape of Scandinavian art glass. I know this set is way off, but it is what it is. I eventually want to replace 10 and 12 with cobalt blue and olive green being other two original colors, because of the three only the big one appears to be by Holmegaard and other two being probably by Cascade or some other licensed manufacturer.

Yes, the photos are modern art - the placement of the repeating similar shapes overlapping, sometimes repetitive sometimes random. You have a good eye; as they say. The colors work with this composition too; subtle yet somehow bold. Cool!

And the glass is great too.

Wow :D thank You for the kind words, I did not really expect that :D To be honest I too was very surprised how good can bottle brown look.

You're right! Beverage bottle production has made these colours too familiar - familiarity breeding contempt. Poor bottle green and beer bottle brown. But bottle blue seems to be a different matter.

      Thank You Bellin68, Mac63 and Vetraio50!

well Vetraio I suppose the blue was not that much overused, I think it was much more expensive because of production, brown and green are made with copper and iron oxides which are often naturally present in sand, I don't know about cobalt. And then there is the "dark aura" over blue glass as it was used to make bottles for poisons :D that has some appeal I guess
