This is a Very Old Japanese Boys Day Doll Sword & Bow, From what I have researched this set would be from the Meiji Period which dates around the early 1900s. They are in excellent condition I believe for the age. The detail on these traditional Japanese Samurai Weapons is Exquisite! Both pieces are made from Beautiful and High Quality Wood, Steel and brass. The bow's string is made from a real animal sinew and the arrow head features a lovely flower pattern. The blade on the sword is in good shape and still shines! While the detail on the Scarab, Tsuba (Sword Gaurd), are both Excellent, feature shapes and designs, this Samurai Sword even features a well crafted Menuki (Detailed Ornament on the Handle, Underneath the wrap) if anyone has any comments, or information I would appreciate it! Thanks for Looking!
    Best Regards
