I say this is extra special, because my mother's best friend gave it to me when I graduated college. It had survived a German WWII to come over to the States, and survived the years since. It has to be my favorite piece for that very reason. There are NO markings on the bottom whatsoever. I don't know where it was made (Europe's my guess) or how old it is. Does anyone recognize the painting style or anything? I didn't know if they were sometimes easily identified for that or not...

I was hoping someone would have some information on this for you! I know it originally belonged to her mother, which should make it at least 100+ years old. The family was from the Marienhafe region of Germany. Maybe that will help someone that might be familiar with that period and area. Good luck! :-)

I'm glad you know more about my stuff than I do, because otherwise I'd be clueless! :)
