Just picked these up. They polished up really nicely. Does anyone have any information. More specifically, the year, type of knife (what they were used for), how much of the knife is actually silver? Much help appreciated.

AR8Jason thank you. As far as I can tell there are no sterling silver marks. This would mean it is all silver plated correct? The knife blades are very very thin, and I will try the metal detector later tonight. Thanks again for the clarification.

I have a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV. I am a beginner, just started this summer. It does have the tone discriminate feature though, which I am still learning to use.

Awesome, do you mind if I ask what brand/model you use or recommend (for when I get a little more experienced)?

I wish I had a good place to search, I am still doing some research of old maps and all, but nothing great yet. Great, thanks so much, best of luck searching this season, and take care!
