I saw this and fell in love with it.. but when I first saw it, I thought it was a paperweight. Once I got my hands on it, I realized the 'stem' was the stopper/dabber wand. The lighting of the photos doesn't show the richness of the color but does show the reservoir inside. I have never collected these items before and know nothing about them. I paid about 6 bucks for it. Do you know who might have made it, where it might have been made or it's age?? It stands about 3 inches high and the stem insert is intact with no chips/cracks. The circular bottom is smooth and well finished. There are no markings that I can find anywhere on the bottle or the stopper. Thanks for any information you might have!
Thank you bratjdd for the love and the comment. I have my fingers crossed! :-)
Thanks you Bellin68! Both for the comment and the love. :-)
Thanks for the love kerry10456 and nsvmom! :-)
*LOL* @mustangtony why yes, it is! Thanks for coining a new word for me to use.. that is unless I'll need to pay you royalties... and thanks for the love too.
Hi Hems303!!! So glad you took the time to say hey. :-)
I have been trying to get back to the egg cups and see what more we might unearth with those. But it has been so long, I have had to start from the top and read all the info again. I saw yesterday where you had some silver you had asked me to have a look at and I WILL go take a look! Your input and work on mine has been outstanding, to say the VERY least. I'll try to get something posted over on the egg page shortly. Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad to be back. Life seems to be letting us catch our breath around here, so hopefully I'll have more time for the fun things like CW!
Any ideas about who made this or when it might have been made? I'll try to get a picture of the bottom up later this evening.
Hi chinablue,
You may want to check out this link to a Murano perfume bottle, looks like similar style, but could be a replica made in China (?) You should be forewarned that I am going through a "I just discovered Murano and obsessed with it" phase, to me, everything looks like Murano, lol - But hey, you never know. I love researching, regardless...

It's an amazing piece and a good price :)
Murano is an easy one to become obsessed with! I think we all go through those phases at time. My R S Prussia obsession is one that I have to fight all the time. *LOL* I looked at the one you posted and that started me looking a little deeper into a possible Murano connection. I found this Murano one :http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEAUTIFUL-VINTAGE-MURANO-GLASS-HEART-SHAPED-PERFUME-BOTTLE-PAPER-WEIGHT-MUST-SEE-/251035496453?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a72e1b005
It doesn't have nearly the depth of color mine has but the insert is made much like mine. I also found a Zellique perfume that was quite similar but this particular one isn't cobalt:

From what little I know of Zellique, their pieces are marked, mine isn't and the insert is rounded on top like the Murano is, not flat like the Zellique.
I'm going to keep looking, especially for Murano items. Thanks for the information! :-)
Thanks to Justanovice, and pawis for the love! :-)
