Signed Myott Staffordshire plate by A Roberts. Some of the intricate hand painting includes the dotting aspect of the colors of "orange and green". Numbered 235. Anyone know the age of this plate, please share. Thank you
Hi! I didn't find the mark but I did find a couple of the same plates in the Chelsea Bird pattern with the same A. Roberts on a site that lists them as made circa 1930. If I ever find the exact mark, I'll let you know. The site doesn't show the mark. It's my understanding that there was a fire that destroyed many records of the factory in the '40's so I'm not sure what information might have been lost. Hope that helps a little. This link will show you the pieces I found:

Thank you ChinaB..........You are a huge help........Any chance you could look at my majolica twin pieces that I have here. I am really dumbfounded by what they are.........Thx again for all your knowledge.......John
You're very welcome, John! Glad I could help a little. I'd be more than happy to look at your majolica pieces, but it's not my strong suit. *L* I'll head over to them now. :-)
