    i believe this to be 100 or so years old 10k gold with seed pearls around cameo .. shell cameo also can't make it out but in different light the back part of shell has a watermark type writing of something like
    V/S (one or the other can't make it out-followed by these) italie/a

      The carver was very skilled. The seed pearls around the setting finish this lovely cameo off beautifully.

      Hi
      This looks to be Psyche if that is a butterfly wing on her left shoulder.Hard to tell.If not a wing may be Hera with the crown on her head.The setting and cameo was made for the American market.The age is around 1930 when this was popular.Nice carving.
