My family owned this restaurant for years. Restaurant recently closed and ice cream cone was saved. This ice cream signage is the original cone from the early 1960's. ~Excellent condition, considering it hung outside for all these years! ~Cone not been restored or retouched to our knowledge. Original. Cone lights up! Mom has it now, but says it is mine! (c: Would love to know the value of this item.

I don't think I could tell you what it's worth, I know Rich Penn Auctions resell a lot of ice cream and advertising stuff. If your interesting in selling the offer consignment on rare pieces in good condition. You could off course list on ebay with the right to end the auction at any time or with a really high reserve to see what it would bring. If you do so, you'll have to offer to ship it in order to attact the real bidders.
Regardless, I enjoyed finding your this listing and see the old place. We've been decorating our out buildings. The husbands garage work shop is a Texaco now and I'm decorating the old garden shed as an ice cream/soda shop/malt stand combo. Goal was for them to look like 50 - 70s kind of places.
