Scrimshaw Mermaid

This I paid $65.00 (too much) for in a very excentric antique shop in West Virginia on the way back from the Casion haha. I love mermaids, and this is actually carved quite clearly, although the pic dosn't do it justice. As far as Scrimshaw goes, I know it isn't as decorated as most. I was infored that it's probably not the expensive type of scrimshaw, (wale teeth,) but more than likely just Bone. Thanks for looking!!
