This is a beautiful gingerbread clock with perfect woodwork and carvings along with reverse painted glass. It does need work and possibly a new face due to the fact that the dial on it currently is in a awful condition but I do believe it to be original, which is why I am reluctant to change it. It has all the other parts and the chime/strike is in perfect working order, but the fact remains that I do have to fix the time train soon. Thanks!

This model is called the "Garnet" circa 1895. Oak case, 6 inch dial. Everything looks original on yours. I think I would be reluctant to put a reproduction dial on it too. It's an old-timer. The paper dial should look old.

Here's one with an alarm movement that sold at auction for $100.

I think yours looks like it is in better, original condition.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks Bruce99 for the link! I definitely will not put a reproduction dial on it, it is indeed too nice for that. And thanks again for helping out date wise because I said 1870's at a guess.
