I have a lot of information about the wardrobe trunks, which this is, on my website. These were very popular in the early 1900's until the 1950's and made by many trunk companies. Your trunk had two patents, the latest being 1912, so the trunk was made sometime after 1912. I have some of the Innovation trunk patents and many others of similar trunks. I also have an old ad for Innovation wardrobe trunks. They came in several models. Many of these were covered with a hard pressed fibre material called Vulcanized Fibre, and it looks like yours probably is too. Prices on some wardrobe trunks of that time were actually quite expensive up to $150 or more. Marvin ThisOldTrunk.com
