      You have to love the days when proof sets didn't cost an arm and a leg and only consisted of 5 coins. The 2009 proof set I bought last year had 18 coins in it!

      Yeah - I think the proof sets cost four or five dollars back then.

      My mom collected proof sets since 1950 the year I was born. I am now 60 and have them all plus the current Silver Proof Sets begining in 1999 through 2011. I also have a lot of commemerative silver dollars all locked up in a safety desposit box at my bank. The proof sets are the most beautiful of American Coinage.
