This is my Sugar Easter egg from the 1960's. Does anyone know anything about these. Who made them? What they are worth today. What category should they be in.

I too remember these. Grandma use to make them and she would put pictures of us inside. Of course I always had a pink one so beautifully decorated. Thanks for sharing....I had forgotten that part of my childhood.
Thank you for the comments. It is so great to remember this time.
Several of the bakeries around Chicago used to make them. The last I checked a few still do. I'm not sure how you would date it, since I remember these from my own childhood in the 70s. We used to get them from the bakery, but one year we made them at home: icing decorations and all. A great memory. I doubt it has much value, though. Ebay seems to be selling 'vintage ones' for around $20. Just FYI http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1987-04-16/entertainment/8701290188_1_eggs-sugar-easter
Thank you
Hi! If anyone wants to buy them still, they are still made and they sell them at Cost Plus World Market! I got some for my kids' Easter baskets!!!
Stunning, I love it!!
Had them in France too in my childhood, seeing the pic I have now the crunchy sugar on taste! They were more pretty than good to eat :-))
