I bought this guy at an antique shop in Canada. They said he was bought by a pub and golf memorabilia collector years ago when he was travelling through the Gatwick Airport in England. He then had it shipped to Canada. This little Scottish fellow is about two and a half feet tall or 60 cm tall in his sitting position. He is mechanical. When he is plugged in he moves the golf ball dimpled bottle with a Old St. Andrews scotch label on it over the snifter glass. He then makes it look like the brown liquid in the bottle is being poured into the snifter glass which also has brown liquid in it. He then puts the glass up to his mouth while he tips his head back as if he took a drink. He then repeats the same motions. He has the name Old St. Andrews embroidered on different places on him. Don't know what he was from or anything.

Old St Andrews is a blended Scotch whisky that is bottled in a distinctive golf ball-shaped bottle. There are several different sizes of bottles, from the one-litre clear-glass version to miniature white ones designed to look like real golf balls.
Old St Andrews is often used for prizes at golfing events, and its marketing relies heavily on the novelty-shape of its bottle. The brand has recently changed its packaging to a clear tube, which makes the golf ball-shaped bottle more visible.
The brand was made popular in the 1980s by Dennis Thatcher (husband of Margaret Thatcher), who was often photographed on the golf course with a golf ball miniature in his hand. It soon found favour with the golfing community and saw an expanded level of sales in duty-free shops in the mid-1990s. However, at the end of the 1990s, duty-free sales in Europe ended with the creation of the single-market European Union.
