As with most everything I have, I have NO idea where this came from, but it was in my grandfather's collection. I'm not sure the age, but my limited research has lead me to believe that metal tokens were stopped after the beginning of WWII due to the demand for metals.
Good morning, these are known as "Mils" these were several pieces, this is a metal one, the others were plastic and the colors were red and green. Back in the day, these were used for the Missouri Sales tax when you bought something at the retailers. Kerry
