    I purchased this desk for my daughter about 3 years ago at a consignment shop. I saw it and just fell in love with it.
    Here is sits, still in my basement :(
    All plans to remodel the house and find a special place for it but on hold, thanks to a job layoff.
    Hope you all appreciate it as much as i do.

      I believe your desk is referred to as either a Captain's Desk or a Davenport desk. I had one quite similar to it. It's a beautiful desk.

      Love the desk. Never seen anything like that. Is that a chalk board on the desk and I guess it lifts up? I wish you well and good luck on employment. Mike
