      It is about 6 inches long and 4.5 inches high weight is more than 0.8kg

      A quick look around both on CW and the net seems to show that most of their pieces are plated over smelted base. Do you see any markings that would give clues that this is something else?

      Yes, this box was manufactured by Jennings Brothers, one of the larger American Art Metal manufacturers of the early 1900's. No, it is not solid silver--rather, cast in a low melting point metal, then electroplated with silver. It was likely manufactured c1905-08.
